Day 1: Create.
We have given our word to committing 30 days to the creation of crafty wonders. We are making this pledge along with many others, as witnessed through Facebook and Twitter. And, we are excited! Hooray for 30 Days of Creativity.
This was just the kick-start that we needed. We have been wanting to do all sorts of creative projects in the past months, and now we truly have the motivation to do so. I am a firm believer that creativity happens both alone and as part of a community.
You need a community to get inspiration and you need "self" to get it done. No idea is completely original anymore (sad, but true), and because of this in my mind it is okay to get tips from others when you begin your craft. However, straight up copying is not ideal. It's cool to take ideas from others, but it is necessary to make them your own by changing something up. At least that's what I believe. Take it for what you will.
In this month we are hoping to do more with the following projects:
+ Photography
+ Upcycled stationary
+ Magnet madness
+ Painting & designing toys
+ Home decorations
+ Summer treats (edible or not)
So, hold us to it. We're going to do our best to share our progresses with photos, tutorials, tweets and more. Join our community and please stay in touch.
